2ND ENGINEER - 40M M/Y

PMR Recruitment is searching for a 2nd Engineer to join a fully private 40m+ classic motor yacht with a unique and active programme. The vessel operates alongside a large sailing yacht and regularly attends regattas and events, offering a varied and exciting role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior engineer working towards their SV EOOW, with all sea time onboard meeting the required requirements. The yacht offers a strong training environment with experienced senior engineers who are hands-on and committed to mentoring and developing the right candidate.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of engineering experience and a minimum qualification of AEC 1 & 2. A trade background would be beneficial, along with a sailing background or genuine interest in sailing. Candidates should demonstrate good longevity on previous yachts and be comfortable working within a close-knit, active crew environment.

The ideal candidate will be a non-smoker with no visible tattoos, physically fit, and someone who enjoys an active, hands-on lifestyle. A B1/B2 visa is essential, and availability to start in April is preferred.

The programme runs between the East Coast USA and the Caribbean, offering excellent exposure to regattas and a strong team culture onboard. The leave package starts at 45 days in year one, increasing to 60 days in year two.
