ROTATIONAL ENGINEER Y3 - 45M S/Y

PMR Recruitment is searching for a Rotational Chief Engineer with a Y3 or equivalent (SV Chief) ticket to join a 45m sailing yacht with a global cruising programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be part of a long-term, adventurous programme, with upcoming cruising plans including the Caribbean, Pacific, and remote destinations. The role requires a hands-on, capable engineer who is confident working off the beaten path without immediate shore support, and who enjoys problem-solving in more challenging environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a sole engineer on yachts 30m+, with a preference for those with sailing yacht experience and ocean passage-making knowledge. A positive, proactive attitude is key, along with a genuine interest in adventure, travel, and an active lifestyle.

The yacht is primarily private with occasional charter use, maintaining high operational and maintenance standards under Malta flag. You will join a close-knit, energetic crew and owners who enjoy water sports and outdoor activities.

This is a 10:10 rotational position, offering a great balance while still being part of an exciting global programme. Start date is early to mid-June in Palma for a maintenance period, with salary DOE (circa €7,000–€7,500 depending on experience).
