DECKHAND/BOSUN - 47M S/Y

PMR Recruitment is searching for a Deckhand / Bosun to join a 47m sailing yacht for a busy upcoming season.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on sailor to join a well-run yacht with a great crew dynamic. The vessel is very active, covering serious mileage, so strong sailing knowledge is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 seasons under their belt and be a confident, practical sailor — particularly with experience rigging and sailing lasers, as this is a key part of the role.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys proper sailing rather than purely motor yacht-style deck work. A Yachtmaster is not required, and a Bosun ticket is not essential, but proven sailing ability and a proactive attitude are key.

The yacht is heading into a busy Mediterranean season, including owner trips (such as a special event in the South of France), before plans to cross to the Caribbean or potentially the US. The season will finish in Palma around October, with a rig-out period to follow.

The crew culture onboard is positive and supportive, with a strong team already in place. This is a great role for someone looking to gain solid sailing experience while being part of an enjoyable and professional programme.

Rotation/leave structure offers approximately 3.5 months leave per year, with a one-month-on rotation style. Salary is dependent on experience.
