PMR Recruitment is searching for a Bosun to join a 50m private sailing yacht. The vessel runs with 9 crew and will be based in Palma de Mallorca for the winter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, hands-on deck professional with strong sailing experience and a solid understanding of rigging and deck operations.

You’ll be stepping into a key role, working closely with the First Mate, who relies heavily on the Bosun for the smooth running of deck operations. This winter, the yacht will be pulling the rig, offering a great opportunity to be involved in rebuilding and refining the rigging systems. There are also extensive sail trials planned for May, so this is a role that will suit someone who enjoys being under sail and wants to get stuck in at the technical level.

We’re looking for someone with a Yachtmaster Offshore (minimum) and prior experience on large sailing yachts. You should have a strong understanding of sailing systems, excellent deck leadership skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. The crew is young and ambitious, and the program supports professional development — with course incentives available after two years of service.

The position is open to candidates already based in Europe or with EU working rights. The yacht runs a private, leisurely guest program, though the itinerary for the upcoming season is still to be confirmed.
